Plagiarizers Can Suck It - Update

Little has happened since I discovered that some of my work was lifted from 303 Magazine a couple of months ago, save for the fact that some of it was taken down. Hours of digging led to the discovery that the owner of the website plagiarized from other publications and owned at least two additional websites that proffered pilfered work from the likes of the AP and several British newspapers and magazines.

However…today, I was notified that one of the owner’s websites has been shut down.

Score.

Now it’s just a matter of getting his other websites shut down.

Plagiarism in the digital age will not end if we simply ask for credit or “please take it down.” Plagiarizers need punishment—whether that’s in the form of fines, criminal charges, or the shutdown of their website (or all of the above)—it needs to happen.
